Understanding and implementing the ITQ
The latest advances in mobile communications technology are having a significant impact on teaching and learning around the world. Millions of people already use mobile phones, PDAs, netbooks, laptops, MP3 players and handheld games consoles, but the challenges of creating an effective mobile learning capability can seem significant.
LSN has, via its central role in the design and delivery of the LSC’s MoLeNET programme, developed a distinctive approach to supporting education and training organisations as they engage with technology enhanced learning.
How does it work?
This consultancy programme is designed to offer bespoke input into both your strategic approach to introducing the Information Technology Qualification (ITQ) and the practicalities of offering it to both staff and learners. It covers:
- understanding how this flexible qualification can really work to your advantage
- a range of techniques to discover what skills you wish your staff and learners to achieve
- an exploration of the different levels and depths ITQ offers, including the ‘spiky profile’
- bringing other, sector specific units into ITQ such as first aid, health and hygiene etc.
- how to take a holistic approach when planning and assessing, supporting the assessor team
- exploring support materials to develop your staff’s IT skills and confidence.
